The Stigmata of Francis

According to Timothy Cook in his Architects of Catholic Culture, educational leaders are much like architects, "overseeing the building of culture, taking into account the cultural environment, available and desirable materials, and one's leadership style. Like an architect, then, the Catholic educational leader is the 'master builder' of Catholic school culture."

The educational leader, working with human materials and human hands, helps to create a living extension of the Church - the Catholic school. It must grow and adapt with time, where ever-evolving cultures, demographics, and needs emerge within the context of a local community. The educational leader must constantly look at things through "fresh lenses," always keeping the mission of the school before their eyes.

This portfolio is also a living document - it too will help build the architecture of our Catholic schools.
